Duncan Phyfe Double Pedestal Extension Table

One of the most widely reproduced antique styles. Ours uses traditional joinery and all solid wood construction. Duncan Phyfe was a New York City cabinetmaker whose styles were popular in the mid 19th century. He was the only American cabinetmaker whose name is used to describe an Early American period. The others, Chippendale, Hepplewhite, Sheraton, were all Englishmen. Available in American Black Cherry or Maple with Tiger maple top. Please note that the chairs shown with this table are available in Cherry only. Custom sizes available. Please contact us with your needs.

Furniture Finishes

About our stain colors: We make our own stains right here in our shop in Virginia. Mr. Case has designed 12 exclusive colors for our furniture. These special dye stains create colors that are much richer than those offered by the mainstream furniture industry. Unlike pigment stains that tend to mask the wood grain, our stains allow the grain to come alive in a variety of subtlety different shades. The down side to our stains is that they tend to be a little inconsistent. Things like the humidity and temperature on any given day can cause them to be lighter or darker. We can provide you with actual wood samples, however please be aware that the actual furniture will likely be different than the sample. Due to monitor variations and natural variations in the wood itself, the actual colors may vary from what you see here.
